Financing Through Volvo Cars Hill Country

Many customers choose to finance their purchase through our dealership. Our Finance Department works with Volvo Car Financial Services and a network of indirect lenders to provide competitive loan and lease options. When financing through Volvo Cars Hill Country, funds are provided directly by the lender as part of the transaction. 

Additional Payment Options

We also accept several other forms of payment, depending on the type of transaction and where the vehicle will be registered.
Cashier's Check

Cashier's checks from recognized U.S. banks or credit unions are accepted for Texas vehicle purchases. Checks must be made payable to Volvo Cars Hill Country and must match the finalized purchase agreement. For out-of-state purchases, payment must be completed by wire transfer or dealership-arranged financing.

Wire Transfer

Wire transfers are preferred for larger transactions and for out-of-state purchases. Funds must be received and confirmed before vehicle delivery, and our Finance Department will provide complete wire instructions. Buyers are encouraged to include their name and the vehicle stock number or VIN in the wire memo whenever possible. 

Personal Check

Personal checks may be accepted in certain situations. Previous customers may be eligible based on purchase history. New customers may be required to meet certain credit qualifications, and all personal checks may be subject to bank verification. In some cases, funds must clear before delivery, and identification may be required.
Debit Card

Debit cards may be accepted for partial or full payment, subject to daily limits set by your bank. Transactions must be processed as true debit with PIN entry, and additional identification may be required. Customers planning a larger payment may want to contact their financial institution in advance to confirm available limits.
Credit Card

Credit cards may be used for deposits or partial payments. Credit card transactions for vehicle sales are limited to $3,000. Accepted cards typically include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
Cash

Cash payments are accepted in accordance with federal regulations. Cash transactions over certain amounts may require additional information and valid government-issued identification.

Third-Party Financing

If you are financing through your own bank or credit union:

  • For in-state (Texas) transactions, we may accept a bank draft or payment authorization from your lender.  Volvo Cars Hill Country may issue a letter of guarantee for perfection of the Texas title if the lender provides a cashier's check for payment which is preferred.
  • For out-of-state transactions, we do not accept drafts or letters of guarantee
  • All out-of-state third-party financed purchases must be completed via wire transfer only
  • Delivery timing may depend on the lender's funding procedures
  • Our Finance team will coordinate with your lender when necessary to finalize documentation

Trade-In Equity

If you are trading in a vehicle, any available equity can be applied toward your purchase. If there is an outstanding lien, the payoff will be verified and handled as part of the transaction.

Payment Verification

For security and compliance purposes, Volvo Cars Hill Country may verify funds, request additional identification, and delay delivery until payment has been confirmed or cleared. These steps help protect all parties involved in the transaction.
